East Midlands Regional Team

The regional handbell team meets on the third Sunday afternoon of the month at Christchurch, Finkin Street, Grantham NG31 6QZ.

The team ring five octaves of handbells.

Our aims:  To allow members of the East Midlands Region to meet socially together on a regular basis and enhance their ringing abilities within the context of a larger number of ringers and bells.  To exchange experiences and knowledge in order to promote the art of handbell ringing.

Chairman's News

There are several items that I would like to draw to your attention to

• From time to time we get requests for teams to play at weddings, Christmas markets and so on. These come through people looking at the HRGB website and finding our contact details. We know that some teams do not feel able to undertake these events and would like to compile a list of those willing to do them for each county in our region.

• If you would like your name to be added to that list, would you please contact either Jane or me and we will make sure that you are notified when any such requests come in.

• Talking about the website, grateful thanks must be extended to Philip Gregory who maintains our regional website. If you wish to be notified of any updates by email, please let either Jane or me have your email address. This site is to be linked to the main HRGB website, so that there will be an access link from there. Also Philip is willing to add any events that you are involved with to the website. He can be contacted on pa2.g@hotmail.com
